The Plight of A Millennial
For more on what plagues us Millennials, check out this op-ed I wrote for Forbes about a month ago.
STORY TIME!
About a month ago I went to a bar with my new bff Jen, who is also a PR major. We were celebrating the end of a tough semester and met a few law student boys. We made them toast to our PR project. (lolz to fellow techniques students who know what I’m talkin about)
Then they asked us if we “like, do event planning” since we’re PR majors. Jen and I both about beat them over the head.
PR is HARD. It’s not all parties and rainbows (even though I will be doing event planning as part of my internship.) It’s a hell of a lot more than that.
I don’t think a lot of people realize that. I’m not a PR major because I’m trying to get a MRS degree. I’m a PR major because I love a good challenge and I love what I do and learn on a daily basis.
This justifies my entire life. I felt like printing this list out and giving to all of my non-PR friends and shouting “SEE! IT’S MY JOB! I’M NORMALLL!”
